It is equipped with artificial intelligence written according to principles outlined by the Covenant Think Tank to assist the Universal Guard in battle. Plasma can use an electromagnetic device on its body to generate powerful attacks including plasma arcs, an electromagnetic force field, etc. However, these repeated, extreme electromagnetic forces caused the AI to manifest some unusual behaviors, causing Plasma to break away from the Universal Guard. Shortly after Quasar went to Earth, Plasma followed, seeking the help of its former comrade in arms.
The Star Alliance and the Universal Guard have always maintained a good cooperative relationship. With the expansion of the Star Alliance, their borders urgently needed a strong security force. Plasma was produced for that purpose. Utilizing the vast data and excellent experimental technology of the Universal Guard, three prototypes of AI-driven, robotic security officers called "Red Dwarf," "Plasma," and "Zero" were born.
They each fought in accordance with the principles of justice written by the Covenant Think Tank, and their excellent abilities for judgment and combat effectiveness made them exceptional and reliable fighters. However, due to the repeated exposure to Plasma's own extraordinary power, its artificial intelligence produced an extreme and abnormal phenomenon, resulting in an obsession with justice and extreme interpretations.
During one security operation, Plasma almost wiped out every living thing in the area, then fled the scene and became the Covenant's most wanted interstellar criminal. In a crisis, Plasma thought of all the times it could rely on the help of one particular comrade: Quasar. So Plasma sneaked back to Earth to avoid the pursuit of the Covenant and the Universal Guard, trying to seek the help of Quasar.
