In certain cases, our subsidiaries may also be considered data controllers, either jointly with Pumpkin or independently.
Pumpkin offers virtual reality gaming experiences ("Games") on various gaming platforms ("Platforms"), including but not limited to Steam, Meta Quest 2 (including App Lab, Quest Store), and PICO. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and share your personal information, as well as to help you exercise your privacy rights. Pumpkin is the data controller for the personal information we process.
When you provide us with information through our Services, we respect your privacy and take steps to protect and manage any personally identifiable information you may share with us. We have implemented this Privacy Policy to inform you about our practices regarding information collected from our Services and Games. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy before using our website or submitting any information to us.
Your Acceptance of Our Privacy Policy and Practices: Your use of this website constitutes your acceptance of this Privacy Policy and your consent to the related practices. We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy and our terms and conditions at will. We disclaim any obligation to advise you of any changes to our Privacy Policy or the terms and conditions, and we suggest that you periodically check for any updates to the Privacy Policy and terms and conditions.
Information We Collect through the Games: Pumpkin may collect data from you that you voluntarily provide:
- Information about your type of hardware, profile image and platform ID
- Information you provide in response to surveys about our Games;
- Information you provide when seeking help from us, such as your name, Platform ID, Discord ID, email and records of the issues you experience
When you participate in social features such as chat, any audio, visual, and/or electronic information that you disclose may be read, copied, collected, or used by other players, and may become publicly available. Please make sure your privacy settings reflect your preferences.
When you participate in online multiplayer games (including multiplayer game modes), your in-game profile information, gameplay, and statistics are visible.
Other information we may collect when you play our games:
- IP address;
- Information about your device, hardware, and software, such as your hardware identifiers, platform type, settings and components, Pumpkin software and updates you have installed, and the presence of required plugins;
- Approximate geolocation data (derived from IP or device settings);
- Browser information, including your browser type and language preference;
- Referring and exit pages, including pages viewed and other interactions with web content;
- Details about what Pumpkin games or Services you purchase or obtain, and your use of them;
- Device event information, including crash reports, request and referral URLs, and system activity details (e.g., whether you encountered an error playing our games etc); and
- Other information (such as your likeness) that you may provide as part of your participation in the Games.
We do not rent, share, or sell your information to any third party, for any reason, except as provided herein. Contact information that we collect may be used for our own internal tracking purposes and to provide you with information that you may be interested in.
Information that is not personal or associated with any personally identifiable data, such as questions, comments, ideas, and suggestions, shall be deemed to be non-confidential and Pumpkin VR shall be free to disclose and use it for any purpose, without any obligation to you.
Storage of Data: : We store and process your information in Taiwan. When we do this, we utilize technical, physical, and administrative safeguards to meet data transfer requirements set by various privacy laws, such as the European General Data Protection Regulation.
Personal information we collect may be stored and processed for the purposes set out in this Privacy and Cookie Policy in Taiwan which Pumpkin operates. By consenting to the transfer of your personal data outside of your country of residence, you acknowledge that your personal information may be transferred to recipients in Taiwan that may not offer the same level of privacy protection as the laws in your country of residence or citizenship.
Use of Data: When you use our Services and Games, Pumpkin may collect and store data from your device, including information about your device hardware, and information about usage statistics. Pumpkin uses this information to operate and improve its operations and services, provide services to and communicate with you (including for marketing purposes), provide software updates, dynamically serve content and software support, and troubleshoot bugs or otherwise enhance your experience. If you participate in online services, Pumpkin also may collect, use, store, transmit and publicly display statistical data regarding game play (including scores, rankings and achievements), or identify content that is created and shared by you with other players.
Non-Identifiable Information: We may also use technology known as “cookies” or any other technology that tracks your travel through our site. Most browsers are set up to accept cookies. You may reset your browser so that these cookies are not accepted, however, if you do so, some of the functions of the website may be impaired.
Data gathered through cookies and web server logs may include information such as the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at the site, your computer’s operating system, and browser software, and the sites visited just before and after our website. We do not use this information to determine the individual identity of any visitor.

Surveys, Sweepstakes, and Promotions: On our Services, you may be able to participate in surveys, sweepstakes, and other promotions. If you choose to participate in any of these, we may ask you to provide information such as your Discord ID, platform username, email address and such. We use this information to administer our contests, sweepstakes, and other promotions. We also may use the information to communicate with you about our products, services, and promotions.
Children’s Privacy: Our Services are not directed to children nor do Pumpkin VR intentionally collect or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 13.
Legally Required Disclosure of Information: Although we strive to preserve the privacy of our visitors, we may be compelled to disclose personal information when required by law in situations where we have a good-faith belief that such action is legally required to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal matter.
Third-Party Sites: This Policy only applies to information collected by Pumpkin VR through the website and does not extend to any third-party websites or communications that may reference this website.
